Icy Conditions and Common Sense

Just Another Thought...



Winter has arrived, with all its glory and challenge. Gone are the leaves dressed in fall colors dancing in chilling autumn air. For most, country winter arrived in a blast, with little warning. From the mountains and valley of the Great Northwest, snow fall began being measured in feet well before Christmas.

In the Northern states from North Dakota to Maine and southern borders of the country had no doubt winter had arrive. The sound of snow shovels scrapping sidewalks and walks ways quickly replaced the pulsated drone of leaf blowers. Retailers, in matching steps, rotated stocks of fall fertilizer for bags of rock salt.

As the grip of winter intensified, overriding the romance of fall, conversations in coffee shops, restaurants, and other gathering places steadily drifted toward the concerns of heating expenses and living through winter. Speculation grew as to what plant would close next; who would fall victim to government over regulation. And not to be ignored, more questions concerning the legitimacy of “man made global climate change”.

Doubt has spread concerning Al Gore in view of revelations in emails from England. Ordinary citizens began to ask, “Where is the money coming from to pay these addition taxes being proposed? Why do I have to pay for Health Care for the state of Nebraska, Louisiana, Unions and other selected groups?” Question, after question, after question, bounced among the people and no truthful answers.

In the mist of the questions, the day arrives for President Obama to deliver his first State of The Union address. He takes center stage commanding the attention of all Americans and the world and speaks. After 70 minutes he has said little, if anything to lift the spirits and determination of the American people. It was practically all I, me, and my. Did he answer key questions? No, he insulted; pointed fingers, accused and reiterated how important his health care bill is to [him].

Where do we the people turn for support and assurance?

As a suggestion from a share-croppers son, I suggest America stop looking to the people with letters past their names, and look first to God. Second, stop asking the government to help you; ask your neighbor if you can help them. In doing so we can began breaking down the divisions the government, academics and progressive socialist have created to keep us divided for easy destruction. Third, look in the mirror and ask what can I do to help myself.

In the end we have only ourselves to blame for our condition. We must reach out to one another; get on our knees to God, and not The Department of Graft and Geed of the Federal Government, if we are to survive and prosper. Survival of this nation is a conservative issue worthy of the consideration of all Americans.

Please ponder and discuss this on an icy, snowy beautiful day.

State of The Union "Double Down"

Just Another Thought...


To a full Congress, President Obama entered the Chamber to deliver his first State of The Union address. In the style and fashion of Presidents before him, he received handshakes from many men and kisses on the cheek from female attendees near the isle. It was clear he enjoyed and looked forward to giving this speech more than any before. To a standing ovation from the chamber, he took the podium. In the mist of applause President Obama said, “thank you”, nine times before beginning his address.

As expected “Bush Bashing”, which he does in every speech, flowed continuously. His tone was that of a lecturer rather than a State of The Nation Address. Included in his bashing, Wall Street was accused of being the culprit in the financial melt down. Again, he pointed fingers away from Washington D.C. and the Democrat party.

It was nice, though disingenuous to speak about the stubborn resilience of the American people in the face of adversity. Yes Mr. President, Americans are resilient and refuse the give up when in a fight, including a fight against our own soiled politicians.

It was not a surprise to hear from President Obama, yet again, the government has the answer to creating job growth. It is amazing neither he nor his party can understand simple logic. If you take money from the people and put it in government control, it is taken away from its source and the most honest distribution of revenue. This stops the ability of the people on Main Street to increase the production of their business. Such action also inhibits the hiring of more people, and can cause the employment rolls to decrease by way of layoffs and terminations due to increases of fees, fines, mandates and taxes.

Through these increases in expenses to the American business it is an assault on the people who own these businesses. The implication that the government can do a better job of distributing the profits of America is not a matter for the government to be concern. The taking of these captured funds from the American people and then to redirect a portion of these funds to the “Green Industry”, that is undeveloped and survives on government subsidies; it is a deliberate assault by socialism.

However, an attempt was made to appease. Stating the need for more energy to be addressed through off shore oil drilling and developing more production of nuclear energy was little more than a bone thrown to the American people. To say he would do these things is one thing however, what will be done. Bones were also thrown for education and tax relief, again how much of this will benefit real America?

In general, the 2010 State of The Union address was a rehash of old campaign speeches with few changes. To be exact, President Obama’s speech was a declaration to “Double Down” on efforts to push through Cap and Trade. It was a warning, Socialist Democrat Health Care is coming back and as many liberal agenda items as possible would be pushed through. Was he condescending? Yes he was. Was he insulting? He is absolutely out of touch with the people? His speech proved he has no intention of listening to anyone except his agenda.

The President made the statement, “The spirit of America lives on regardless of what the government does, it lives in each of us.” Mr. President, your agenda is not in the best interest of the American people. After your first State of The Union address, “We The People”, know you have one objective; not to improve America according to the Constitution.

In the mist of destroyed jobs politicians in Washington, D.C., and many State Legislatures are playing a shell game with the American people. On the one hand we are told the stimulus package is working, and on the other, we have to tighten our belts. It’s interesting “We The People” are the ones being required to cut back our living standards. This is what Europeans have been demanding we do for the last sixty years.

By the way, these same people have come to the United States seeking the best medical treatment in the world. These are also the same people demanding we turn our backs on the country of Israel.

What gives? Either we are plunging into an economic depression forced on us by the last four administrations, or are we squanders of the world’s resources and deserve to suffer from starvation and freezing temperatures in our homes. Does the government really care about us, or are they focused on capturing as much control as possible from the people and from the constitution? All I have mentioned, pro and con, are related. The attack on the United States is coming from the inside, and outside of the country.

Just Another Thought...


Tonight President Obama will make his first State of The Union Speech. The question is will he use his teleprompter or will it use him? Will he stand before America and the world dictating how we are to live our lives or will we hear a more humbled man. Regardless of what he has to say we are likely to hear something of this manner; "The imposing performance graduates with my highlight." Words of this sort are likely to come from those in media unable or unwilling to come down to earth with the little people. The end result is bound to be interesting.

Part 1

WE THE PEOPLE of the United States,

Does the precepts of a small group, over ride the autonomy of the individual? What does this question have to do with, “We The People of the United States”?

It may be poor structure to ask two questions back to back however, in today’s political climate, investigating an answer may be an even greater offense. If it offends you; so be it.

The word “We” identifies the fact that it takes individuals, accounted for as a group, to constitute the mass of us. Or, stated in another way, there is no “U.S.” unless the “We” is acknowledged. No doubt this statement could be contestable in academic and legal circles. Could it stimulate purveyors of inadequate representation to object to my line of thought in the most shrill of manners? Possibly, however objecting would bring into question their worthiness to hold their positions of authority, and / or, of influence.

The fact must stand; unless the governments as a whole acknowledges the worth of the individual to self govern, within the established confines of the highest of all authority in the universe, those governing will subject themselves to the rectification or condemnation of the ”One” superior to all.

Standing in objection to any part or parcel of this truth is an affront to every living American Citizen, and desecrates the legacy of every person fallen in defense of this country. It is “The People”, following the, “We” that matters. Without the people allowing ourselves to be governed, in a desire to reduce the prolongation of chaos, the government ceases to have any viable purpose. Because our United States government is composed of individuals from our society at large, the disappearance of the people would leave empty structures and chambers. If that were to occur, what would come of the government? Absent the designation of royalty which is expressly denied any individual by our Constitution, who of American citizenry will declare themselves to be the government, but of his or her own foundation to self govern.
In no other place on the planet can the worth of self governing be exemplified in greater clarity and definition than The United States Of America. What other country can proudly proclaim the speed unto which this country has progressed in the past two hundred and thirty plus years. In nations beyond our borders, governments and nobilities have existed for centuries and restricted their citizenry to advancing at a snail’s pace. Inhibiting the advancement of their own cultures has served to enhance their positions of authority over their people, while diminishing those they rule, but to what end.

What other nation has entered an opened contract; first with God All Mighty identified as our creator and supplier of our very lives and existence, but also with, “We The People”; allowing our present form of government to govern with our consent. This open ended contract allows the people, the government, and even God to walk away at any time, but in doing so the violator or violators will have no choice but to suffer the consequences of their decision and actions. Any action such as this brings into question who will suffer, if this should occur. The suffering certainly will not fall on God for he is the only party to this contract beyond judgment, but stands as a participant; the judge and the jury. This leaves the baring of any such judgment to fall upon the United State of America. To be more accurate, “We The People of The United States of America” for we are the country.

This geological formation of rock and dirt, supporting plants and animals by the millions, and reaching from sea to shining sea and border to border; is the United States. We are a mass of people united under a common cause and willing to live, work, fight, and when the time comes, die together. This country was created out of the desires of a few individuals who refuse to submit to the control of the mighty and the evil, to the extent they were willing to brave the unknown in search of freedom from tyranny.

Let there be no misunderstanding, Individuals and families from around the world have braved conditions beyond the imaginations of current day historians and adventurist to simply touch our shores. People have lost families, limbs, and their lives to reach this land and legally become part of the United States of America. Many have arrived with only the clothes on their backs and a burning desire in their hearts to be free. Also, those arriving here as slaves, prisoner, and servants soon smelled the air of freedom, tasted the flavor of liberty, and fought for the God given right to be independent of tyranny. They endured the challenges, hardships and injustices to become citizens knowing their children would have the liberties they were denied for so long.

People of this metal are what constitute the United States of America, not the occupants along the South Central border of the State of Maryland, nor those along the North Central border of the state of Virginia. In a designated location on these two borders sits the District of Columbia, harboring its attitude and appendages of dictatorial authority. This place is the heart of many things, but not of America. The heart of America can be found in every citizen and in every place in the land. However, that heart can be found, often to a lesser degree or totally absent in Washington, D.C.

The Special Election In Mass. was not a wake up call to the Democrats, rather a statement of notification to the un-American people. It is no wonder, mass media went into hysteria when the results came in. They expected to keep the Senate Seat belonging to the people of the State of Mass. in control and possession of Kennedy family Royalty. Royalty they are not. They just learned early how to game the system and millions of Americans forgot how to think. Progressives Ignored Warnings

The special election in Massachusetts has ended and with it the songs of Camelot. John F. Kennedy ran his campaign in a manner to be admired as the under dog and won the Presidency in memorable fashion. This can also be said for Massachusetts State Senator Scott Brown.

A candidate known mostly in his home state of Massachusetts gained unexpected national attention when he began closing the gap on his Democrat opponent. He garnered little attention against Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley prior to this. Elected into her position on the Democrat platform, she also exercised her authority in much the same manner. She was considered early on to be a shoe in; nearly guaranteed to win the now vacant Senate seat in Washington, D.C. This was and is no small matter.

Martha Coakley was portrayed a desirable fit for the now empty seat, and thought to be capable of filling the shoes former Senator Teddy Kennedy of Mass. To do so she would have to be extremely liberal, or totally progressive (socialist), and willing to do what ever it took to accomplish the Democratic agenda. Indications are she would have qualified very well.

However, to the extent J.F.K’s wining of the presidency was greeted with great fanfare and expectations, the defeat of Democrat Martha Coakley, by a come from behind Republican, was equally devastating. As impressive as the rhetoric spewed by President Obama before ascending to the Presidency; equally shattering is the defeat handed the Democrat party in Mass. The warning signs were displayed as prominently as a light house on the Massachusetts shoreline at night warning of danger. Yet, the captains of the Democrat party refused to heed the warning.

This is not the first time the light of warning was ignored by the party of the working man, and Democrat leadership should not have been surprised by the outcome. In November the states of New Jersey and Virginia handed defeat to the Democrat candidate by electing Republicans instead. It is clear this warning was ignored, preferring to maintain a course of the progressive democratic agenda.

Millions of citizens marched on Washington demanding Nationalized Health Care be stopped. However, the Progressive Leadership in control of Washington refused to hear. Democrats tried Ram Roding Cap and Traded into law, and the people protested in throngs against it. With these opportunities to change course, it is no surprise they are stunned by Coakley’s defeat when they refused to listen to the people.

In view of what has happened to the Democrat Candidates in the last twelve months, November 2010’s mid-term elections could be a nightmare for Democrats. However, Republican should not feel they are in the driver’s seat. Their performance has been at best, lacking.

Soured Dream

Looking across the vast expanse of the United States and all its territories, it might be noted what has been forgotten, misrepresented or face eradication. People by the thousands are being discounted and discarded by this administration in much greater numbers than ever before. Companies have been taken over by the federal government in support of and of benefit of union bosses, and mega investors. Such actions are leaving workers to fend for themselves while living on peanuts. Other companies are being forced out of the country by the misuse of our tax structure, and lawsuits by none government and government agencies. In addition all Americans face possible passage of socialist democrat health care, and other so-called reforms.

All this appears to be the work of people having deliberately ignored or twisted what has been written in our Constitution and Declaration of Independency. Did they not read the same words, “We the people…” in the preamble to the Constitution?

In 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called the attention of the world to the plight of the people of color in the United States. In part he stated:

“When the architects of our Republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men--yes, black men as well as white men--would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

The promissory note spoken of by Dr. King has been steadily diluted primarily by Communist thinking Democrats and every administration since President Johnson. The promissory note has been remortgaged by each new president and each new congress until few remember the Constitution states in part; “…would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” The guaranteeing of unalienable rights; is not a promise for the government to deliver life, liberty, or happiness, to anyone.

Yet, we now have government officials attempting to do this exact thing, as the governments see fit. Dr. King saw the denial of the opportunity to pursue these liberties as a high crime against the laws of God, and an affront to the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. His dream of seeing this nation rise up was what he worked his life for, and died for, like many others; trying to accomplish. Yet, our nation is being torn down not only by our enemies outside our boarders, but more destructively by our leadership within.

"Free at last, Free at last, Thank God A-mighty, We are free at last."

I’m sorry Dr. King, but the day you gave your forever to be remembered, “I have a dream speech”, was a beautiful apex on the mountain from which all of American and the world has descended after your death.

The way to freedom and liberty has been shown by many starting with a freed slave named Crispus Attucks when he died on March 5, 1770, protesting the British government, resulting in the Boston Massacre. He had the integrity to fight for the country that enslaved him because he knew what tyranny was. He,d lived it.

The way to preserve freedom and liberty has been shown by the brave men and women who fought the wars to preserve this country for their posterity; being us. We have been shown through the battles for civil rights in which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, Medger Evers, and many other gave up their lives so that we might be free.

And, today we are being shown how to loose our freedom and liberty by the lies and tactics of our politicians, minority leaders, elitist, and foreign manipulations. America is being destroyed for the greater good of the mighty few. Those hating American and its people will have their way unless Americans stand up and say, “We have had enough of you - your fired. Now, get out of my house.”

We have been shown the way, but are there enough of us who remember.

Why DoYou Hate Me?

A man walking through an unfamiliar part of town, found himself surrounded by a mob of angry people.

The mob was made up of different races and nationalities. They were young, old, male and female.
The mob encircled him. He then asked them a simple question. “Why do you hate me?”
No one answered him directly. Instead their voices ringing out in unison, screamed insults at him.

The man did not show fear. He again asked in a normal tone. “Why do you hate me?”
The mob only grew more angry. They continued to move in closer around him until he could feel their spittle on his face, as they shouted, “I hate you!”

To onlookers, it would appear the stranger was soon to be torn to shreds by the mob.

The mob's temper had risen to their hottest. The strange man lifted his voice and bellowed like thunder. In a loud and powerful voice, showing no fear he said. “Why do you hate me? Is it because I am a man, or a woman. Is it because I am a child?”
“That cannot be the reason, you are seeing me as I am.”

“Is it because I am too short? Or am I too tall? That is too simple. So, I ask you, is it because I am old? Perhaps I am too young. Not old enough. Not young enough. I say no, that is not the reason, you can’t be that blind.

Is the reason you hate me because I am white or black, red or yellow. Or because of any of those combinations? To that I say No. You would have to think with a brain the size of an Asp.
Maybe it is because I am missing a limb, an eye or an ear. To that I would say, only the self centered and shallow would go to those depths.

Answer me, is it because I am Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, or one of the many different religions. I say not a chance since we all pray to someone, or something more powerful than our own selves.”

The mob was silent now. Some standing in the mob that encircled the stranger, had begun to question themselves and their motives.

The stranger seemed not to notice the silence, and continued to speak as he had before.
“I have pondered the questions that none of you appear to be able to answer. Or perhaps you are not willing to answer. The only answer that I can give you, is that you don’t hate me as much as you fear me. Why? It is simple. You don’t know me, therefore, you cannot trust me.”

A young man in the crowd shouted, “I hate you, and I will kill you.”
The stranger addressed the young man. “Kill me? That I am sure you can do, but in doing so, will you not be killing a part of yourself. Remember, you don’t know me, you only know of me. I have not shown you, in actions or words, that I have desires or plans to do you harm. What you are trying to kill, is the hate that resides within you. You are the host to a parasite called hate. It is feeding on your good nature. If you let it continue, it will grow until it fills your being completely. Then it will kill you. So, if you kill me, without just cause, I need only wait. In due time all of you will join me in death and consequences.’

The mob, now a large crowd, began to back away. It seemed they had gotten more, than they had bargained for. The stranger was not finished speaking. He spoke again, “The hate, of which you have accused me, is your hate. What you do to me, you also do to yourselves.

The stranger looked into the faces and eyes of those who were standing close to him. He saw confusion, shame and introspection. Saying no more, he lowered his head and began to walk through the crowd. As if on command, the crowd parted and let him pass. With no further harassment from the crowd, the stranger was gone. Within seconds of his departure a breeze commenced to blow. The breeze carried an old newspaper down the street. The paper caught onto a woman’s leg. When she reached down to brush it loose, something caught her eye. She picked up the paper. Holding it to the light, she gasped, and pushed her way toward the leader of the mob. Upon reaching him she pointed to the newspaper, and in an excited and agitated voice she exclaimed, “This is him! This is him! You can’t touch him.” The leader of the now, dispersing mob, took the paper and looked at the picture. The caption read, MAN BEATEN TO DEATH BY ANGRY MOB. All the people that saw the picture, and read the caption agreed that it was he.

From somewhere in the crowd, a loud voice yelled. “We can't kill a dead man twice.”
From another direction a woman screamed, “We will face him at our time of death. It is for us he waits."
